Farmoor 31st August - Juvenile Caspian Gull
A juvenile Caspian Gull was loafing around in the south west corner of Farmoor II late morning, giving excellent views right on the bank for a while. According to Ian Lewington, it's not one of the birds that he's seen recently around Didcot.

At about 11.30 this morning the two cranes appeared form the direction of the MOD land and began to call continuously while circling over Greenaways at the spot where they are frequently seen together. They continued calling and circling while climbing higher and higher and always moving towards the west, until they disappeared from view all together.
