Work at Bicester Wetland Reserve
Key/Permit Holders please note we have some work being undertaken on the main part of the reserve, involving an 8 ton excavator and dumper. This will take place throughout Wednesday 28th, Thursday 29th and Friday 30th October. We will be removing spoil banks, scraping water edges and removing some of the invasive Hard Rush.
The current 400 to 500 Teal plus supporting cast will take a dim view of this but will hopefully be back on the reserve by the weekend.

Bicester 15th October 2020
Either our local leucistic House Sparrow has moulted a smart grey-black bib over the past two weeks since he disappeared or we have a third individual visiting our garden in Bicester. Maybe there's a whole hive of them. Pretty sure it's the same bird as before though since the wing markings are consistent. These photos were taken on Wednesday when he was seen again after an absence of sixteen days. He'll need to avoid the attentions of the local Sparrowhawks.
