Garganey: m. In the last 2 weeks I've checked the pit regularly expecting garganey. Did so again yesterday: no sign. Today I broke routine and went to Farmoor first. Of course Roger W found a garganey at pit 60 today. I noted it was manically swimming back and forth rather than feeding or resting. Why so? 18:52.
