White Stork Port Meadow

A white stork dropped in to Port Meadow briefly at around midday today. Found by Richard Foster it was seen by perhaps half a dozen people who happened to be there. With so many walkers out and about it was never going to stay long and after a couple of minutes it flew off low to the east. My guess is that Otmoor may well be worth checking out.

For the record there were a couple of ringed plover, the grey plover still and a flock of 20 odd bar-tailed godwits whilst I was there. Apparently about 60 barwits have already gone through this morning.

A couple of point and shoot record shots. I'm hoping to get hold
of some video footage that was taken by someone there in due course.
