Cuddesdon: Monday 27th June

Late news from last Monday: 9 flightless juvenile Mandarin Ducks were flushed from the River Thame near Cuddesdon as I carried out my annual BTO Waterways Breeding Bird Survey. Presumably a successful breeding attempt? There were no sign of any adults present and the only previous record from here was of a male in April 2014. The only other birds of note were an adult and a recently fledged  juvenile Tawny Owl.
