  1. Took me a while to find this bird as unfamiliar with the area.
    It's on this little lake which isn't marked on the 1:25,000 map

  3. Depending on where you park Trevor, from the southern end of Thrupp lake it's only 5 minutes.

  4. It's a very long walk from the car if you park where birdguides report from yesterday suggests and then takes you to the wrong "little lake". I spent a good hour walking around the wrong part of the lake. Thankfully in the end I saw a birder on the far side of the lake and went that way!!

    There is a good parking spot at the end of the road/track that runs along the east side of the lake. Space for two cars. Then walk along the gravel track going left (towards the railway line) and the lake is on the right after about 100-150 yards.

  5. Hi Trevor -- also make sure you approach from Thrupp Road, Radley

    My satnav (google maps) took me to the Barton Lane Industrial estate and then wanted me to proceed on non-existent roads. You could walk from there but not drive!
