4 Great White Egret: Evidence of a turnover in individuals. 3 yellow billed birds at once: 2 of which had dark legs. As well as a dark billed adult (legs hidden). At least two of the yellow billed birds with dark legs had good aigrettes. Not all summer plumaged adults get dark bills apparently. When do dark billed adults lose summer bill colour? 22:04.

Hello Mick according to The Herons Handbook there is much individual variation in the amount and duration of bill colour change in GWE. Europe's Birds (WILDGuides) has dark billed adult breeding plumage between March and May so yours is already quite late. Cheers Steve
