Great White Egret: First one I've ever seen here. Looks like the shaggy breasted, yellow billed bird that frequents Pit 60 sometimes. In company with little Egret. Water level too high for waders, hence the GWE and a couple of shoveler. 20:18.

3 Great White Egret: Each one with different patterns on soft parts. 2 sporting breeding colours of varying intensity. One still yellow bill, no aigrettes, pale legs still. I find literature on ageing very thin. Including manuals. 22:16.

40 Siskin: An amazing 40 Siskin arrived this afternoon and frequented the tops of the Ash trees in The Leys behind our garden for the next two hours filling the air with their song and calls to each other. Many came down to the feeders. A wonderful spectacle. SP308267. 13:11.
