Follow the Shifford Lane footpath past the turning for the North Shore hide, to view grass on left, between the back of the reedbed and the hedge.

Barn Owl: In full view, bright sunshine confidently searching area between Farmoor 1 and river. 15:30.
Merlin: male. Seen twice. First mobbed by three seagulls forced to land on waterside. Then later gliding over water this time ignored by other birds. 16:30.
