Dix Pit: 1st January

Scaup: imm male. With Tufted Ducks and Pochards. From 1st layby on access road. Presumably the Farmoor bird relocated. 15:11.

Goosander: rh. 15:55.
98 Red-crested Pochard: Flew in to roost at about 15:55. Presumably some of Mick's birds from Hardwick. 15:55.
35 Goldeneye: Minimum count. Numbers built up steadily towards dusk. Included at least nine drakes. Display behaviour noted. 15:55.
2 Egyptian Goose 15:55.
Yellow-legged Gull: ad. In gull roost. 15:55.
Chiffchaff 15:55.

    Hi Ian
    What time are do you start checking the Dix gull roost please?
    And where do you watch from please ie do you access from the first layby or from near recycle centre?
