Headington
Ring-necked Parakeet: fem or juv. No evidence of ring round neck, therefore guessed female or juvenile. Green all over but with green turning to blue down tail. Saw it twice in garden on 26th (feeding first on sunflower hearts feeder hanging from tree, and second on peanut feeder), and once on 27th at about 6pm when I heard it near garden and then saw it flying away. SP538074.

3 Marsh Harrier on passage this afternoon male 13:45, fem 13:55, fem 17:40.
2 Peregrine: male. Imm male circling at 14:50 & adult male at 15:20.
6 Sparrowhawk: 2 male circled together 12:50 then flew North, Adult Fem hunting high level 14:35, adult male North 17:00, Imm male flew North 17:55 & Imm Fem circled then flew North 19:05.
12 Buzzard: 12+ of which 3 had various primaries missing and 1 missing two thirds of its tail...presumed passage birds and flew North East.
3 Yellow Wagtail: High North East calling.
Raven: Flew North.
2 Swallow: Flew North East.
5 Linnet: Flew North East.

Chimney Meadows: 26th March

Garganey: male. Flushed with 2 Gadwall from ditch near NNR on BBOWT Nature Reserve. Landed on adjacent River Thames where relocated. After 5 minutes returned to same ditch on reserve. No public access to this part of reserve. 11:30.

Kingston Bagpuize: 22nd March

Merlin: fem. Missed a Meadow Pipit, then circled high and continued North on passage.
Merlin: male. 2nd passage bird today...male this time. In quite high from South. Circled for 3 mins really high on thermal then continued North. Exceptional mipit passage of several hundred birds today too. 14:25.
