Hobby: Hunting over Greenaways at late dusk. 08:42.
Spotted Crake: Began calling at 21;15 from the track out from the cattle pens and heard from the bridleway. Calling non stop as it got dark and with drumming snipe overhead a very evocative evening. 08:42.

No sign of the Purple Heron after 12.15 pm as far as I'm aware. Despite vigil until dusk.
