Cattle Egret at river edge opposite Medley Sailing club. Assumed another Little Egret but to my amazement it had a yellow bill. Flew into trees by sailing club and stayed for a few minutes before flying into large group of cattle midway between river and Aristotle gate. Lived up to its name feeding under the feet of the cattle. Watched for several minutes before I was driven off by the rain. Still present when I left at 15.30.

On Thursday 10th September, the visitor trail up to the reedbed and the viewing screens will be closed for several days.
This is due to us undertaking some viewpoint improvements and as such, heavy machinery will be present so in the interest of safety, we have decided to close the visitor trail for the duration of the works.
We apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause.
