Yelford: 24th January



Caspian Gull: 2w/3cy. resting with 10s of LBBs and 100s of back-headed gulls in wet field- on Yelford to Cote RD (actually nearer Cote). In same flock was 1 adult yellow legged gull, two 1w yellow legged gull. 7 herring gulls - at least one a adult argentatus The Caspian's head pattern, bill shape ad pattern ad mantle ad covert pattern made me think it was the bird from the Port Meadow roost.

Baulking Pit. 20th January

Probable juv Kumlien's Gull - This dusky bird came in at 4.25pm. Presumably one of Mark's bird from last night. Dark centred outer primaries looked ok. I guess it's not the Yelford bird but couldn't rule it out - a couple of features matched. It looked similar in flight.
