An incredible morning: a flyover Pochard over Warneford Meadow is an amazing record for a site with no standing water and of species that is far from common in the county in August. This was followed by a Wheatear feeding on the roof of the Churchill Hospital! A second (though long-awaited) patch tick of the morning, taking the Lye Valley area list to 109 species.
