Appleford GP: 24th November
A possible hybrid ring-billed gull x lesser black backed gull was found by TM on the pit this afternoon. Slightly smaller than the accompanying lesser black backed gulls, with a lighter mantle shade and complete black band to the bill despite being an adult indicate hybrid origin. Regrettably it remained extremely distant with the strong sun making viewing difficult.
