0730-1130hrs

Osprey 1  -  found by Paul Butler at 0825. It caught a sizeable Rainbow Trout from F1 which it took to eat on the perimeter track near the water works. It managed to consume the head of the fish before it was mugged by two  Carrion Crows and abandoned the fish and flew further round F1 to briefly land on the wall before flying off to the North.

The second image would appear to show the Osprey is unringed

Merlin 1f @ 0800 -flew through low over F2 making an unsuccesssful tilt at a Sand Martin before hurtling over the causeway and across the far end of F1 heading North.

Common Sandpiper: By pumping station channels at far end of causeway. 11:15.
Redshank: Heard calling but not seen so must have been flying over. 13:45.

Curlew Sand.: Along causeway , not there when crossed earlier . Large wader almost sandy coloured , seemed longer legged & larger than Dunlin , no hint of any black underneath & v. cleanly marked . It did not behave like Dunlin but might have been a large Dunlin. 13:10.
