Dorchester: Allen Pit: 9th February


FERRUGINOUS DUCK drk still present 16:00

(per Ian Elkins, Mark Pidgeon, Badger).

Viewable and accessible from the track that runs along the Eastern edge of the lake. SU 573943. Although this is not a public right of way access has been kindly granted by the owner. Approach can be made from the south either via Dorchester or Days Lock. The bird is elusive along the east side of the pit.

      I believe access has been granted for the locals to walk around the Pit for some time now.
