Whooper Swan on lagoon at SE corner of Energy Recycling Facility (ERF), 1.5 miles south of Ardley on B430. Associating with Canada Goose flock and a Mute, till 15:30 at least. Not clear whether un-ringed.



 

Take minor road off B430 signed for The Heyfords, park in lay-by then walk back and follow footpath around the ERF. View lagoon in the SE corner or fields between there (SP543251) and M40.

No sign of the Whooper Swan near Ardley this afternoon (per Peter Law)

I checked out two pits between M40 and A43 just north of J10 at SP547282, and one to south at SP548262 accessed along footpath from motorway bridge in Ardley Road SP548272. There is another pit south of Ardley at SP543251, accessible by footpath from B430, that I didn't have time to visit (Peter Law).
