Great White Egret: First one I've ever seen here. Looks like the shaggy breasted, yellow billed bird that frequents Pit 60 sometimes. In company with little Egret. Water level too high for waders, hence the GWE and a couple of shoveler. 20:18.

Yellowhammer: Near hide. Quite scarce here, though small flock was present N end of Langley Lane this winter. 22:16.
3 Great White Egret: Each one with different patterns on soft parts. 2 sporting breeding colours of varying intensity. One still yellow bill, no aigrettes, pale legs still. I find literature on ageing very thin. Including manuals. 22:16.
