Caspian Gull: 5 cy. flew round for ages: eventually, landed on water but too brief to digiscope. Aged by dark streaks in prim covs and prim pattern, head and bill just about as adult. Are June records usual in Oxon? 18:40.

On the King Alfred West's Playing Field (SU387878) 11:26 - 11:41 when it must have flown off.
Appeared to have a pink ring on the R leg and black on the L. I note that the long staying Letcombe Regis bird earlier this year also had a pink ring on its R leg, so it must be same bird.

Golden Oriole: Bird flew over A40 towards a large group of Poplar trees. Sorry I can't be more specific but I was doing 70mph on the A40 and it caught my eye as it coasted over in silhouette fairly high towards the poplars. 100% this species. I was driving towards Oxford and the bird flew left to right over A40. 16:55.

- 5 Spoonbill that made a tour of Bucks and Berks on 14th just passed through Oxon airspace over Henley-on-Thames in the process
- A Bittern was spotted at LWV Pit 60, Standlake also on 14th
- Great White Egret were also logged at Burford (23rd) and Pit 60 (28th)
- The Otmoor Cranes were seen over Farmoor Reservoir and Port Meadow on different dates
