I arrived early afternoon to receive news that the bird had thermalled high and flown north c. 10:30. It was however reported flying along Fair mile again at 15:15 (RBA) so may still be around.
Pleasant walk in the sun either way with Blackcap singing in hedge by the wood store next to start of path off A417, a couple of Chiffchaffs and a Brimstone and a Comma.
The late afternoon sighting was confirmed as a pale Common Buzzard (RBA) there are some pics on the Oxfordshire thread on birdforum.
