4 Sanderling: On Northern edge of F1. Also 23 Dunlin, 2 Ringed Plover and 1 Turnstone on causeway. Common Tern over F1 and large mixed flock of Swifts and House Martins with a few Sand Martins and Swallows also present.

This evening on BBC Channel One South at 7.30pm.  "The Truth About Wildlife"
Chris Packham. Includes footage from a Chipping Norton Farm involved with the Wychwood Forest Project that has resulted in an upsurge of Tree Sparrow numbers. Chris Packham has interviewed dr.Alan Larkman the OOS conservation officer on the farm and it will be interesting how much, if any of Alans hard hitting critical views of just how harmful modern farming methods are to our drastically declining small bird populations are included.
