Otmoor RSPB 8th August

PURPLE HERON (juv) 19:40 seen flying to northern side of Big Otmoor (per Gareth Blockley & JFT)
In flight over Greenawys 18:30 (per Mark Chivers)
16:43 flew to east side of Greenaways (per RBA)
In flight over Greenaways then landed in channel
along side the diagonal track and lost to view
14:55 and again 15:45 though elusive.

This is the first county record since 2007 when a juvenile also turned up on Otmoor in August on the 20th having previously visited the Pinkhill reserve adjacent to Farmoor reservoir.
