The comment was “Spotted this fella yesterday at the top of Westfield lane while heading for the A417. A bit strange that a Sea Eagle is in the middle of the countryside! He seems to have taken up residence”
A couple of us have challenged and asked questions regarding the sighting but so far there has been no reply from the finder.
I managed to track down the photo used to a Raptor persecution web page dated 2014 and the photo was taken by Mike Watson in Scotland.
Hi there, you probably already know this but there was a white tailed sea eagle present in the Chilterns who took up residence with some kites for a few months between autumn 2019 and winter 2020. This was a tagged bird released from an Isle of White reintroduction. There are details on the Roy Dennis foundation website of that bird's and others' movements.
