Standlake: 25th January

Standlake
Shelduck: Circular walk to Hunts Ponds, Downs Rd, Thames fields via shifford lane and back. Winter thrushes numerous. Thames fields are very flooded, 100s pintail, wigeon, fewer teal, 10s shoveler, large goose flock hard to b see owing to impassable flood but no white fronts spotted. 3 chiffchaffs overall, 1 stonechat,. 17:48.

      There's at least one big listing Oxon based birder who has Red-foot, but has so far never been able to add Pink-foot to his county list...
