I saw same David. One difference last year was that the fields had been fallow all summer. Farmer told me it had been too wet to grow a crop. So, essentially, it was mud for weeks. Replenished by large autumn storm. There was a large crop on the site this year. I'm no ecologist but, although I've had a few waders on that site occasionally, never was it like 2023. Hope I'm wrong
