Lesser Redpoll 2
A great, but welcome surprise, with these two birds being the first Redpoll that I've seen in and around my garden since moving here 35 years ago! Primarily feeding on the cones of a London Plane tree in a neighbouring garden, the birds also visited my pond for a drink, and briefly checked out my bird feeders before flying off. A good excuse for leaving late for work!
