Farmoor Reservoir 9th April

Common Sandpiper 1

An Osprey was seen by a fisherman at approx 0900hrs heading southeast  over the reservoir towards the river

I walked the entire circumference of the reservoir via The Countryside Walk which revealed the following:

Cuckoo 1m

Reed Warbler 6

Sedge Warbler 14

Blackcap 23

Common Whitethroat 5

Willow Warbler 11

Common Chiffchaff 18

Cetti's Warbler 11

Willow Warbler with aberrant song - a combination of Chiffchaff and Willow Warbler. It mainly sings from the top of the large willow behind the toilet block located at the bottom end of the main car park
