An adult Caspian Gull in the roost at Farmoor (FI) late tonight (8.45) was a nice surprise. The really rubbish montage of grabs above show all the salient features. P10 is shown well (white tongue, narrow black band, large white tip) and it was a very long billed bird half way through it's primary moult ... as you would expect. My count of Yellow-legged Gulls was interrupted when I had to help staff from St Tiggywinkles catch a poorly Mute Swan. I got to 17 but there must have been many more. Also c30+ Yellow Wagtails.
Cheers, Ian
