..and a very close encounter with 15 or so long-tailed tits who seemed to accept me as part of the greenery after I'd stood still for 5 minutes!

    Any info available on the approx. location of the LSW? I had a fruitless visit there yesterday!

    SU457995 would be about it - certainly where the NNR and Hitch Copse join. Located initially by the 'ke-ke-ke-ke' call but I didn't hear any drumming that made me think LSW. I'd say it was probably 7.30ish, but, as usual, I'd left my phone at home and I don't wear a watch.
