Farmoor August 3rd (late post) Ringing recovery

An adult female Lesser Black Backed Gull was seen at about 8:15pm on the causeway. She had been ringed as an adult in Guernsey on 19th May 2011.
She chose to spend the following winter in Spain, being controlled at Villarrasa Landfill in Huelva on 20th January 2012. By 16th March that year she was back on Guernsey. She has been seen on Guernsey in the intervening years since at the same site. This year however she wasn't seen on the island, electing instead for Grovebury Sandpit near Leighton Buzzard (27th July 2016) until appearing at Farmoor this week.

She has a small metal ring on the lower part of her left leg and a black plastic ring on the lower part of her right leg. The black ring has white writing - 9N5.

If you see this or other ringed gulls again it can be reported directly to the BTO.
