That's a bit mean spirited Dave. This individual has brought a lot of pleasure to many who would not otherwise see such a bird.It is making its way in the wild and in the process is bringing the benefits of biodiversity and communing with nature to a wider audience. After all the re-introduction of Red Kites and White tailed Eagles started in a similar fashion. The number of photos is a reflection on how much this bird has caught birders and the general public's imagination. It is a known medical fact that by getting out and enjoying the natural world we can contribute to easing our worries about covid and this worrying time and some of us celebrate that by taking pictures of the bustard and sharing them.Nothing more nothing less than innocent pleasure. It does not really matter how the bird came to be at Letcombe Regis.
Astonishing how many pictures there are of a bird that was is one step from a chicken coop where it was hand reared.
