Chiffchaff: Unusual, coal tit-like chiffchaff song incorporating regular upslurred "weep" notes heard on Lakeside by the golf course yesterday evening and a few times this morning, occasionally switching to typical P. c. collybita song. Managed a brief view of what was probably the same bird (not certain though), looking like a "normal" chiffchaff on the brighter/greener end of the spectrum. Anyone familiar with this song type? Clearest recording so far: https://www.xeno-canto.org/631071 And others on this https://www.xeno-canto.org/forum/topic/42420 . SP496109. 08:00.
