Farmoor Reservoir
Sparrowhawk: m. I filmed a Male eating a swift on causeway. Last year, I noticed a Male specialised in sneaking along causeway hunting passage passerines and waders. Same bird? Newton notes swift as prey species albeit an uncommon one. 21:14.

I saw him flying very low between the waters edge and the causeway yesterday

ReplyDeleteAt times there have been Sparrowhawks that have specialised in catching Swifts as they emerge from the holes in the Oxford University Museum of Natural History tower.
