Standlake Pit 60
Caspian Gull: 5 cy. flew round for ages: eventually, landed on water but too brief to digiscope. Aged by dark streaks in prim covs and prim pattern, head and bill just about as adult. Are June records usual in Oxon? 18:40.
Rushy Common
Hobby: I didn't go in hide. Hobby perched on fencepost on pit shore - just about viewable through wicker holes (need to be bigger). Cuckoo singing across road from car park Cetti's Warbler ditto. 18:40.
