Mediterranean gull - 1 adult
There has been a noticeable increase in gull numbers over Woodstock and in Blenheim in the past few days with a steady movement through Blenheim during the afternoon, culminating in a pre-roost of mainly black-headed gulls numbering 300-400, half a dozen common gulls and similar numbers of lesser black-backed gulls. And today got lucky with the Med gull which didn't stick around for too long.

Grey heron - increased activity on the Queen Pool island over the past week in preparation for nesting.
