Standlake Pit 60
1496 Redwing: 7 30 to 10 am. Vismig started badly as realised I'd forgotten notebook and phone. And then found usual viewpoint fenced off. Did have one clicker though. 45 redwing milling around first light deemed to be leaving roost. Vis count from Thames Fields Redwing 1149 west 302 north Un counted small numbers of following moving Sky larks c 25 west Meadow pipit c7 west Siskin h.o. Reed bunt c4 N Song thrush c4 h.o. Chaffinch c15 south. 15:27.
3 Great White Egret: 2 on the pit. A third flew north v high with, presumably same, south 20 min later. 15:27.
2 Marsh Harrier: all cream crowns. Minimum count. A third was, possibly, a different bird on plumage but views brief. 15:27.
Peregrine: Adult flew n over Thames fields carrying prey. 15:27.
6 Goldcrest: In hedgerows Thames field. Unsure if an influx as I rarely check these fields. 15:27.
