Sutton Courtenay 5th February

These Gulls are wide ranging around the flooded fields and are only showing intermittently:

  • Iceland Gull 2nd winter
  • The probable juv Kumlien's Gull is a heavily marked juv Iceland Gull after seeing the upper wing in more detail. (see below)  
  • An aberrant asymmetric Herring Gull
  • Amongst the 80-100 Lesser Black-backed Gulls was a Fuscus. This bird has the right moult, colour, size and shape, just arrived a little earlier than would be expected.
