Devil's Punchbowl 11th November

Red-footed Falcon: Small all-dark unpatterned falcon with paler legs, seen next to Carrion Crow for size. Flew along from west, circled twice with quick flapping flight over the bowl, then flew south, doing a hobby-like dive and swoop over small copse before disappearing Rare county bird.

2 Stonechat: pair along fence between grassland & rapeseed field. 11:45.

  1. Hi Anthony,
Interesting bird. Size wise, how would the bird you saw
    compare with a Merlin?
