WHITE STORK (unringed) circling over Big Otmoor c11:11 then appeared to go down to the east of the reserve c11:38

Seen again near Tackley over Sturdys Castle heading towards Blenheim 14:30 (per John Prickett)

2 Short-eared Owls over Greenaways this evening and showing well (per RBA).
Is it definitely unringed? The bird that has toured the Home Counties and elsewhere over the past year has a small red ring above the left knee and is difficult to see in flight.
ReplyDeleteObservers said it was unringed and there is no sign of one in the photos.
ReplyDeleteOK but I don’t think you can see above the knee in these photos as hidden by body feathers.
