Oxford: Summertown: 26th December

Oxford: Summertown
Possible 8 Ring-necked Parakeet: I am no expert but the group flew overhead yesterday making such a squawking noise unlike any native birds. The silhouettes had long thin tails and the wings had feathered edges. I am not quite sure of the time but it was dark. Would welcome confirmation. SP504096. 16:00.

    Sounds correct. Around 25 birds roost every night in the tall Wellingtonia trees in Hernes Road.
