6 Ringed Plover: Been busy. Apologies for late entry. See Dunlin for context of these records. 11 Ringed Plover consorting with a few dunlin in late October were the first in a run of RPs up to today. On several visits, none was present; presumably when water too high. If present, numbers varied from 1 to a max of 6 on 3rd Nov - with 3 noted on 25th Nov . 18:17.

2800 Golden Plover: See dunlin for discussion of waders at this site in Oct to Nov 25th. Numbers ranged from a consistent 3-500 until a fairly rapid rise to, probably, 3000 in mid nov. Species hard to cound as often splits and roosts at a distance with hidden serried ranks. 1.5k fiarly regular in Nov 2800 clicked 17th Nov my most 'accuraye' count. . 18:17.


Oystercatcher: day bird. 18:17.

19th November

Cote
Curlew: flew east - calling. One of 13 species of wader recorded at this site between late Oct and 25th Nov. 18:17.

11th November


7 Redshank: see dunlin for discussion re waders at Cote in this period. The single redshank from October was joined by a flock of 6 which flew in from the east on 11/11/2023. Numbers varied between 7, 6, and 3 up to 25th Nov. 18:17.

11 Shelduck: increased from 1 to 11 for most of Nov, though only 10 left on 24th and 25th Nov. 18:17.
