A new, small (presumably female) adult was present on Appleford Pit this lunchtime. Structurally not very striking with a relatively deep and brightly coloured bill (compared to the adult last week). The wing-tip pattern, however, was of the extreme 'Western Pontic' type. The 2nd winter that was around at the beginning of October also paid a visit.
