Sadly a Short Eared Owl was found dead yesterday on a footpath in West Oxon.

Does anyone have any idea who is the most appropriate person/group to contact
to establish the cause of death.

    Probably a bit late now, but spoke to a colleague at work about this. If it is not clear how it died, CEH run a "Predatory bird monitoring scheme". They will analysis any dead bird of prey for chemicals/toxins level. More details can be found here - https://pbms.ceh.ac.uk/content/how-send-us-dead-bird
